“The essence should matter. We’re not burning budget on things that don’t end up on your pulse points.”

That belief cost a full year of research — dozens of failed batches, one perfumer, and a simple rule: nothing gets bottled until it earns its place on your skin.

Adarsh

Founder

Adarsh didn’t come up through a perfume house. Purelixr started in a garage, on a workbench crowded with scent strips, working through raw materials one at a time until he understood not just how they smelled, but how they aged over eight hours on skin. There was no formal apprenticeship and no shortcut, just the slow, repetitive discipline of blending, wearing, and starting over.

Every formula on this site was built the same way: sourced honestly, tested until it earned its name, and bottled in small batches rather than rushed into mass production. Nothing here is a copy of someone else’s formula — each scent starts from a blank page.

“I didn’t want to sell a story about heritage or prestige. I wanted to make something good enough that it could just sell itself, on skin.”

— Adarsh

Chapter I

The Origin

Testing scent strips against a notebook of formulas and raw perfumery ingredients

Purelixr didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a question that wouldn’t go away: why does the price of a department-store bottle bear so little relationship to what’s actually inside it?

The first few months of 2025 went into sourcing — tracking down real Bulgarian rose absolute, hand-pressed Italian bergamot, and ethically harvested oud, instead of settling for the synthetic substitutes most affordable brands quietly rely on. The rest of the year went into failing, mostly.

2025 — The Year of Research

Formula after formula got mixed, worn for a full day, and logged. Most got thrown out — a drydown that fell apart after three hours, a top note that was stunning for ten minutes and forgettable after that. There was no shortcut to a formula that actually worked, just batch after batch and the discipline to discard anything that wasn’t good enough, even after weeks of work on it.

The wins were smaller and quieter than the losses, but they carried the year: the afternoon a rose-oud accord finally held its shape from first spray to the last trace eight hours later. The blind test where strangers guessed a fragrance cost far more than it did. Dozens of formulas were built and scrapped before a handful survived — not because they were easy, but because they were right.

March 2026 — Launch

Purelixr launched in March 2026 with a small collection built entirely from the formulas that survived a year of testing. There was no ad campaign — the real introduction happened at pop-up tables, city markets, and local events, where strangers tried a scent on their wrist and told us exactly what they thought, right there on the spot.

That honesty became the real education. Perfume enthusiasts who’d worn dozens of niche houses started comparing notes with us — what held up over eight hours, what felt derivative, what actually surprised them. Every appreciation and every pointed critique became a reason to keep refining. It’s the reason the formulas in the shop today are better than the ones we launched with: someone at a table told us the truth, and we listened.

Chapter II

Substance Over Surface

A fragrance should earn its place on your skin through quality, not through a box you’ll throw away. That’s where we put the budget.

The ingredients luxury brands use sparingly, we use generously.

Bulgarian Rose Absolute

Not synthetic rose — the real thing, steam-distilled from the Valley of Roses.

Hand-Pressed Italian Bergamot

Cold-pressed from Calabrian groves. The citrus top note luxury houses use sparingly.

Ethically Harvested Oud

Sustainably sourced agarwood. The most expensive raw material in perfumery, used generously.

76%

of every bottle goes directly into pure, IFRA-certified fragrance oil — not advertising, not packaging, not a celebrity paycheck. Same caliber of ingredients the luxury houses use. A fraction of the price.
